I picked up a fly rod at age 12 and never put it down. What started as a boy casting in the rivers and streams of Australia grew into a lifelong obsession — one that has taken me to some of the most remote and extraordinary fisheries on the planet.
Over five decades I’ve fished most of Australia and New Zealand, and beyond — Greenland’s Arctic rivers, the Mongolian wilderness, the jungles of South America, the flats of Fiji and Vanuatu, the rivers of India, the coastlines of Africa, and the limestone streams of Spain and South East Asia. Fresh water, salt water — if there’s a fly rod involved, I’m in.
I started Worldwide Angler out of a simple passion: travel and the joy of connecting with like-minded people who share the same obsession. Not to build a business. Not to earn commissions. But to help others achieve what I’ve been lucky enough to live — their bucket list fishing dreams.

Based in Woolloomooloo, Sydney, I work as a General Manager in finance — but the rivers and flats are never far from my mind. My wife shares the same passions for fly fishing and travel. Fishing, for this family, is how the world makes sense.
